If you're missing a tooth, our experienced team in Honiton and Sidmouth can help you find the right way to restore it. For many people, a dental bridge is an excellent long-term solution.

A bridge works by anchoring a natural-looking prosthetic tooth to the teeth on either side of the gap in your teeth, giving you back a complete smile that looks, feels, and functions just as it should.

What is a dental bridge?

A tooth bridge is a permanent, fixed restoration designed to fill the space left by a missing tooth. The bridge consists of a prosthetic tooth (called a pontic) held securely in place by crowns fitted over the natural teeth on either side. Once fitted, your bridge dental restoration sits permanently in your mouth and functions just like your natural teeth.

Your consultation

We'll examine the gap and surrounding teeth, take digital scans, and confirm whether a bridge is the right option. We'll walk you through the procedure and give you a clear price.

Preparing and designing your bridge

We prepare the teeth on either side, take a precise digital scan, and send the design to our laboratory. A temporary bridge is fitted to protect the prepared teeth while you wait.

Fitting your bridge

When your bridge is ready, you'll return to have it fitted and checked. We'll make any adjustments needed and talk you through how to clean around your bridge.

How much does a dental bridge cost?

The cost of a dental bridge depends on the position of the tooth and whether any preparatory work is needed beforehand. You can find our general pricing on our pricing page, and we'll give you a clear, personalised breakdown at your consultation before moving ahead with your treatment.

If you'd prefer not to pay for everything upfront, our 0% finance through Tabeo lets you spread the cost over 3, 6, 10, or 12 months with no added interest. You can apply quickly online, and if approved, you can go ahead with treatment straight away.

Do I need a dental bridge?

When a tooth is lost, neighbouring teeth can gradually drift into the gap, your bite can change, and the jawbone beneath may begin to shrink. A bridge is often the right choice if the teeth on either side would benefit from crowns anyway, or if you're looking for a fixed, long-term solution without the need for surgery.
